There are two central AC units in the villa:
The 2nd floor unit controls both the 1st and 2nd floors.
The 3rd floor has its own unit.
To keep the AC running smoothly and the indoor environment comfortable, please keep doors and windows closed as much as possible. This helps:
Keep bugs out (we're in Central Florida, there are a lot of them! Including wasps!)
Keep the air clean (the system filters indoor air)
Prevent unnecessary strain on the AC system
If a door/window is left open, the AC will switch to "away" mode-this means warmer temps in the summer and cooler temps in the winter.
You won't be able to adjust the thermostat while something is open.
Once everything is closed, the system will return to the previous temperature and you can make changes again.
You'll see yellow lights in the hall and kitchen when something's open:
A door/window is open on that floor.
A door/window is open on a different floor.
If you've closed everything but the lights are still on, try opening and closing the door or windows again, sometimes the sensors need a second to catch up.
If you have any trouble let us know-we'll help out.
